The Highway Department is responsible to maintain eight historic cemeteries in the Town and Villages of Mamaroneck and Larchmont. The area of Mamaroneck Town Burial Grounds amounts to 2.34 acres. Stone markers from the 1600’s have been found at these burial grounds as has the marker of Larchmont’s founder, Samuel Deall.
