The Town of Mamaroneck offers the following curb to curb transportation options for residents age 60 and older living in the Town of Mamaroneck and Villages of Larchmont and Mamaroneck. Reservations are required for the services as listed below. This service is provided if the bus can safely navigate through the street. Passengers must be able to enter and exit the bus independently.

Senior Bus Grocery Shopping Service 
The Senior Bus Service provides curb-to-curb transportation to and from the Stop & Shop located on Boston Post Rd. Trips are typically scheduled for Wednesday mornings. Seniors are given 45 minutes to shop and can bring a maximum of 3 bags back onto the bus.

Shopping Reservations are required and must be made at least 1 day in advance by calling the Senior Center at (914)-834‐8840 between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.  Note: If necessary, a companion or aide may travel with you at no extra cost. Passengers must be able to enter and exit the vehicle on their own.

Funding 
The Senior Transportation Program is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is offered through a grant from the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services.

In October 2015, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) approved the Town of Mamaroneck's competitive application for funding under the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) program to receive a grant of $49,614 toward the purchase of a new Senior Bus. The Town of Mamaroneck will provide matching funds of $12,403. (20% of the total cost) toward the purchase, as required under the grant.
