[ARCHIVED] Message from the Town Supervisor -- April 22, 2020

Town of Mamaroneck Coronavirus Update

April 22, 2020

Good evening fellow residents, this is Mamaroneck Town Supervisor Nancy Seligson with an update for April 22nd. There is now an additional alternative property tax payment relief program for eligible residents and businesses.  If you believe you are suffering from an economic hardship due to the Coronavirus crisis, you may be eligible to delay property tax payments until July 15th with no penalty.  Please go to the Town website,, for the specific information and certification forms.

Our local public access media station, LMCTV, hosts a Thursday evening Coronavirus update interview with the mayors of the Villages of Larchmont and Mamaroneck and me.  It is streamed live and open to public questions.  The program usually runs at 7:30 PM, but this Thursday, April 23rd, will run at 8:30 pm. LMCTV will also broadcast dance/fitness classes for older adults and seniors next Monday through Friday at 8:30 am.

Congratulations on successful social distancing as we’ve seen the number of active coronavirus cases and hospitalizations decrease in Westchester County and our community.  We can’t stop now.  Please remember we are all required to cover our noses and mouths with masks or cloth coverings when we come within 6 feet of another person who is not part of our household.

Today is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.  We live in a beautiful waterfront community.  There are many things you can do to take care of the environment, and appreciate how lucky we are.

Thank you.
