[ARCHIVED] Message from the Town Supervisor -- May 4, 2020

Mamaroneck Town Coronavirus Update

May 4, 2020

Good evening fellow residents, this is Nancy Seligson, Mamaroneck Town Supervisor with an update for May 4th. The Mamaroneck Town Center is again open for business five days a week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; however, access to staff and departments will continue to be by appointment only.

The Hanes Corporation donated 300,000 masks to Westchester County and the County distributed 3,500 to the Town of Mamaroneck. The masks have been given to senior citizens, participants in the Town food programs and Town staff. The masks are now available to residents at the Town Center reception entrance. Residents will be able to pick up a maximum of one packet (five masks) per household from the reception area for as long as they last.

Please respond to the 2020 Census update if you haven’t already completed the forms. Go to https://2020census.gov/ to complete the forms online. It’s easy and fast and you will be helping to support the Town. State and federal financial aid to the community for the next ten years is based on the Census population count.

The Town is waiting for guidance from the State regarding the opening of the pool and Town camps. We hope we will be able to offer some recreational opportunities for children this summer.

The number of Covid cases and hospitalizations in Westchester County continue to decrease as a result of the Governor’s NYS On Pause directives. Please continue to refrain from social gatherings and remember you must wear a mask in public if you come closer than six feet to another person who is not living in your household. Remember we’re not out of the woods yet.

Thank you and good night.
