Town of Mamaroneck Coronavirus Update for June 8, 2020
Good evening fellow residents, this is Nancy Seligson, Mamaroneck Town Supervisor with an update for June 8th. In concert with the protests occurring around the country, there will be a Community Gathering for Racial Justice and Equality on Wednesday, June 10th at 5:00 pm in Harbor Island Park. Several community leaders and representatives from the clergy will speak. Town Councilman Jeff King will be the master of ceremonies. I hope you will join us and please remember to wear a mask.
Early voting for the June 23rd primaries begins this Saturday at the Town Center. You can also mail-in an absentee ballot. Please go to the Westchester County Board of Election’s website for specific information. The deadline for the mail-in School District ballots for School Board and the School Budget has been extended to June 16th. Please remember to mail in your ballots.
Tomorrow, we enter Phase 2 of the reopening with the opportunity to shop in person. Our local stores will reopen and I encourage everyone to patronize the local merchants while they maintain social distance and wear masks.
We continue to make progress in the reduction of Coronavirus cases in the community and the County. Let’s keep up the good work and continue protecting our neighbors and ourselves.
