RECYCLING PICKUP ADVISORY: Recycling collection will proceed as scheduled on Wednesday, August 5th. However, due to road closures the crews are running behind schedule and some homes will be inaccessible. We will do our best to reach as many homes as possible. Residents, of the unincorporated area of the Town and the Village of Larchmont, are able to bring their recycling down to the Maxwell Avenue facility (40 Maxwell Avenue, Larchmont) during regular business hours:
Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays: 8am – 3pm
Tuesdays: 8am – 2pm
Saturdays: 8am – 11:45am
Wednesdays and Sundays: Closed
GENERAL ADVISORY: This is a message regarding the Town’s next steps to restore the community after tropical storm Isaias. We have experienced severe damage in the Town with many roads closed and many areas with downed wires. At this time roughly 40% of the Town is without power. We are working closely with Con Edison and the Town’s emergency staff to access the storm damages and arrange for Con Ed crews to commence work to restore electric outages throughout the Town. The Town Highway crews have begun the process of opening roads on those streets where electric wires are not involved. As a safety precaution, please do not travel on local roads unless absolutely necessary. This will enable highway crews to open roads more quickly. Also, please remember to stay away from any down wires.
Thank you and stay safe
