Good evening fellow residents, this is Mamaroneck Town Supervisor, Nancy Seligson with an update for August 11th. As of this afternoon, there are fewer than 80 Con Ed customers without power in the Town and those are supposed to have power restored by 11:00 pm tonight. We continue to press Con Ed to restore every single resident in the Town. There will be a state inquiry and hearing into Con Ed’s response to Storm Isaias. I plan to compile all of the emails I’ve received and present them to the State legislature for the record. Please email me at supervisor@townofmamaroneckny.org if you would like to comment.
Now we have to get Wi-Fi and internet service restored in the Town. There are about 1,200 Altice/Optimum customers without service in the Town. Contact information for both companies is below:

Altice has advised us they are allowing customers to apply for a service credit and has provided us with this link: optimum.net/support/request-a-credit.
Statement from Verizon follows:
Many network issues resulting from Tropical Storm Isaias are due to lack of commercial power. With power now nearly fully restored in the area, our Verizon teams are in the field getting a more accurate assessment of the damage and making necessary repairs. Residents are advised to report service issues to 800 Verizon (800-922-0204).
On a good note, the Town of Mamaroneck has no active cases of the Coronavirus according to Westchester County statistics. We should feel pleased by this, and must also keep up the good work of wearing masks and social distancing.
The Town Center will remain open as a cooling and charging center from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm through Friday August 14
Thank you and stay safe.
