Dan Zauderer, a Larchmont native and Mamaroneck School District alum, is co-Founder of the Mott Haven Fridge Network. This organization grew out of the pandemic to encourage neighbors to help feed neighbors in need. Mott Haven has set up community fridges around the Bronx which allows those in need to access donated, fresh food from a refrigerator right off the street.

Larchmont's Victory Gardens community of home gardeners and Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force have contributed their surplus produce to Mott Haven’s community fridges over the summer 2021.
