Residential Food Scrap Pick-Up Pilot Program in the Village of Mamaroneck

The Village of Mamaroneck has been running its residential food scrap pickup pilot program for 7 weeks. At the end of the 13-week pilot, the Village will evaluate the program and make any necessary changes to put a more permanent program in place. As of April 19th, there are 244 households signed up.  New households can enroll any time by calling the Village’s Department of Public Works. Residents are very appreciative of the Village pickup program and its recognition of food scraps being a recyclable item.
