Biography
Abby Katz began serving on the Town Board January 1, 2012. Abby and her husband David have resided in the unincorporated section of the Town of Mamaroneck since 1997. They have 2 daughters who both have graduated from Mamaroneck High School.
Work History
Abby’s work experience includes over 15 years implementing financial project management software which provided companies the ability to monitor and control spending, budgeting, and billing.
Abby's entry into community affairs began when she joined the Larchmont Civic Association in 1998. She was a LGCA board member until joining the town board and served as the LGCA President from 2008-2010. Abby was active in the Murray Avenue PTA serving on various committees as well as a term as Treasurer. Abby is a member of the board of the Larchmont Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force.
Abby has previously served as a liaison to the Planning Board, Zoning Board, Board of Assessment, and the Library Board.
As a councilman, Abby has served as liaison to the Planning Board, Coastal Zone Advisory Committee, Traffic Committee, and the LMC Media Board of Control.
Education
Abby graduated from St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
